BokuKimi, Macross Frontier CD Singles Debut in Top 5

Ken Hirai's "Boku wa Kimi ni Koi o Suru" theme song for the Boku no Hatsukoi o Kimi ni Sasagu film debuted at #3 on Oricon's weekly singles chart for October 19-25. The single sold 30,034 copies. Takehiko Shinjō's live-action fim adapts Kotomi Aoki's romance manga.
The "pink monsoon" single also debuted this past week at #5 with 23,563 copies sold. The song will be heard in next month's Macross Frontier: Itsuwari no Utahime film remake of the Macross Frontier science-fiction romance television series. May'n reprises her singing role as the character Sheryl Nome for this song, which is the latest Macross Frontier number to rank in the weekly singles chart.
The #1 single of the week was the AKB48 girl group's "River" song with 178,579 copies sold.
