The Definitive G-Darius HD is Coming to Steam
Tokyo, Japan – 24 March 2022. TAITO Corporation today announced G-DARIUS HD will be released on Steam on March 30th (8am PDT) with a 15% launch discount.
The Steam release of Darius Cozmic Collection, G-Darius HD comes with all the features of the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 release, the recently announced G-Darius Ver.2 and Ver.2 HD, the console version of G-Darius, along with an PC- exclusive, wide-screen bonus mode and sub-woofer support!

About G-Darius
The 4th arcade release in the horizontally scrolling shooting game series, and the first to utilise full 3D, G-Darius launched in arcades in 1997 and was followed by the updated G-Darius Ver.2, then a home console release in 1998. New features included the Capture System allowing the player to catch and control enemy ships, using them against their allies, and the anime-inspired beam battles, where a captured enemy is transformed into a beam of energy which can push through even a boss's energy beam. The award-winning music was supplied by Zuntata's Hisayoshi Ogura, and the game received high praise upon release.

G-Darius HD
This collection features a faithful port of the 1997 arcade game, an updated version HD with improved textures, effects and a high polygon Silver Hawk, a port of the original console release and the rarely seen G-Darius Ver.2 (in both standard and HD); an arcade update with a much higher difficulty. And a brand-new bonus feature: Exhibition Mode!
Exhibition Mode
Peek at what might have been if G-Darius was developed as a dual screen arcade cabinet! Battle a handful of selected bosses in wide-screen glory in this PC-exclusive bonus mode!
Gadgets Galore!
The arcade port and its HD upgrade feature developer M2's usual array of gadgets and settings along with the ability to turn off the arcade-faithful slowdown, a training mode and the ability to record and watch your best replays and download others' too.
Ver.2 features a new Beginners Mode, balance related changes (enemy damage, shield durability), overhauled boss attack patterns and more.
The console port features a beginner's mode, and a versus boss mode where you can practice your boss battling skills and the ability to view the ending movies, once unlocked.

Wallpapers to mimic the arcade cabinets of the day and an option to turn on authentic arcade background noise (coins not included).
