GREE to self-distribute Another Eden, SINoALICE listed for distribution "by partners"

Smartphone game and social networking service company GREE revealed in its first quarter financial results for the 2019 fiscal year on October 26 that it will release its Another Eden game, as well as Square Enix's SINoALICE game, in North America and Europe. The company did not reveal a release window for the games. GREE also plans to release SINoALICE in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau by the end of this year with company Komoe Game.

Another Eden is listed for "self-distribution," while SINoALICE is listed for "distribution by partners."

GREE's Wright Flyer Studios developed the Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? -- MEMORIA FREESE game, and Crunchyroll, Sumitomo Corporation, and GREE released the game earlier this year in March as part of an agreement for the localization and distribution of games based on anime for North America and other overseas markets.

GREE announced Another Eden in 2015, and released it in Japan for iOS and Android in April 2017. Daisuke Taka is directing the game, while Masato Katō (Chrono Trigger) is writing the scenario. Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger) worked on the game's opening theme, while Shunsuke Tsuchiya and Mariam Abounnaser are composing the in-game music.

Square Enix released SINoALICE for iOS and Android in Japan in June 2017. Taro Yoko (NieR:Automata, Drakengard) is the game's creative director. Pokelabo (Senki Zesshō Symphogear XD Unlimited, Senran no Samurai Kingdom) is developing the game. MONACA's Keiichi Okabe is composing the music and jino is designing the characters.

The game's story revolves around popular fairy tale characters trapped in the world of "Library." Their only wish is to bring someone back as their author.

Wright Flyer Studios and GREE's Shōmetsu Toshi (Annihilated City — Where I End and You Begin) smartphone game is inspiring a television anime in 2019.
