New project centered on surfing will have cast announcement on October 20

The official Twitter account for Love&Art revealed on Tuesday that Tomoaki Maeno will voice the main character in the company's new project WAVE!!. The Twitter account also revealed that the project will have an announcement event on October 20 that will reveal the project's cast.

The new project will have a surfing theme, and shows eight different surfboards.

Love&Art developed the Meiji Tokyo Renka franchise with Broccoli, and the B-PROJECT franchise with MAGES.

The Meiji Tokyo Renka franchise began with a 2011 mobile game, which was ported to PlayStation Portable in 2013. The games boast over 300,000 players, and they already inspired the anime movie Gekijōban Meiji Tokyo Renka: Yumihari no Serenade and the stage musical Kageki Meiji Tokyo Renka ~Oborozuki no Chat Noir~ (Musical Meiji Tokyo Love Song ~Black Cat of the Hazy Moon~), as well as drama CDs, novels, and manga. The franchise is also getting a television anime adaptation, as well as a live-action series and film, and the new Meiji Tokyo Renka Haikara Date game.

B-PROJECT is MAGES' fictional male idol project featuring character designs by Devils and Realist creator Utako Yukihiro. The anime's first season premiered in July 2016, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired. The anime will get a second season titled B-PROJECT: Zecchō Emotion (Summit Emotion) that will premiere in January 2019. The B-PROJECT Muteki Dangerous smartphone game debuted for iOS and Android devices in June 2017. The management of the game moved from S&P to MAGES in March. The franchise also includes a stage play that ran from July-August 2017, a live concert that ran in August 2017, and an album that launched in July 2017.
