HIDIVE to Stream Armed Girl's Machiavellism English Dub

posted on by Karen Ressler
New episodes to stream on Saturdays

HIDIVE announced on Thursday that it will begin streaming the English dub of Armed Girl's Machiavellism beginning on Saturday, August 18 at 12:00 p.m. EDT. New episodes will debut on Saturdays in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and other territories.

Sentai Filmworks will release the series on Blu-ray Disc as both a standard edition and a premium box set on August 21. The premium box set will include a 240-page booklet, six art cards, and sticker sets. Both sets will include the original video anime.

Sentai Filmworks streamed the series exclusively on Amazon's Anime Strike streaming channel as it aired in Japan last spring. Amazon shut down the channel on January 5 after about a year of service, but Armed Girl's Machiavellism and other Anime Strike titles are still available on Amazon Prime and HIDIVE.

Armed Girl's Machiavellism adapts Karuna Kanzaki and Yūya Kurokami's manga. The "school rebellion battle action" story follows Fudō Nomura, who transfers to a school where girls carry weapons to rule mercilessly over the boys. Shortly after transferring he becomes a target of Rin Onigawara, a member of the Five Ruling Swords that commands the school. In order break free he must defeat the Five Ruling Swords.

Hideki Tachibana (BlazBlue Alter Memory, Dragon Crisis!, H2O ~Footprints in the Sand~) directed the anime at the Studio Silver Link (Ange Vierge, Dusk maiden of Amnesia). Kento Shimoyama (Bleach, Naruto Spin-Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals, Servant × Service) supervised the series scripts, and Shoko Takimoto (BONJOUR Sweet Love Patisserie, Chaos Dragon, Senran Kagura: Estival Versus - Festival Eve Full of Swimsuits) designed the characters. Team-MAX's Hiromi Mizutani (Hell Girl, Non Non Biyori, Toriko) composed the music at Nippon Columbia.
