Adult Swim Announces 6-City U.S. Concert Tour for FLCL's The Pillows

Adult Swim announced on Wednesday that it will host a six-city concert tour for the band The Pillows and their music for FLCL. All-female band Noodles and former Smith Westerns frontman Cullen Omori will open the show. Tickets are available on Adult Swim's website.
The dates and venues for the concert tour are as follows:
- Cambridge, MA: July 10 at The Sinclair
- New York, NY: July 12 at Gramercy Theatre
- Seattle, WA: July 15 at Neptune
- Portland, OR: July 16 at Hawthorne Theatre
- San Francisco, CA: July 18 at August Hall
- Los Angeles, CA: July 19 at The Regent
The Japanese alternative rock band The Pillows performed music for the original FLCL anime as well as BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad and Moonlight Mile. The group is returning for FLCL Progressive and FLCL Alternative.
FLCL Progressive will premiere with an English dub on June 2 at 12:00 a.m. EDT and PDT (effectively June 3) on Adult Swim's Toonami block. An English-subtitled simulcast of the Japanese version will stream on Adult Swim's website.
FLCL Alternative, the second new series, is slated for September. In Japan, the anime will debut in theatrical screenings, with FLCL Alternative opening first on September 7, and FLCL Progressive opening on September 29. The first episode already premiered on Adult Swim on April 1.
