The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, announced the winners for its 45th Annual Annie Awards on Saturday.

Sunao Katabuchi's In This Corner of the World and Kenji Kamiyama's Napping Princess both received nominations in the Best Animated Feature-Independent category, but The Breadwinner won the category.

Studio Ponoc's Mary and The Witch's Flower also received nominations in the "Outstanding Achievement for Production Design in an Animated Feature Production" and "Outstanding Achievement for Writing in an Animated Feature Production" categories, but Coco won both categories.

Pig: The Dam Keeper Poems, a series of shorts produced for Hulu Japan by American studio Tonko House, received a nomination in the "Best Animated Special Production" category, but lost to Revolting Rhymes.

The "The Pearl of Pingaree" episode from Amazon's Lost In Oz television series received a nomination in the "Best Animated Television/Broadcast Production For Children" category, but lost to We Bare Bears. The series features animation from Japan's Polygon Pictures.

The Samurai Jack animated series received nominations for "Best General Audience Animated Television/Broadcast Production," character design, production design, and editorial, and won all three awards.

The Annie Awards recognize outstanding achievement in animation.
