Hiroya Shimizu, other additional cast members revealed for April 7 film

The official website of the live-action film adaptation of Rensuke Oshikiri's Misumisō horror manga began streaming a teaser video for the film on December 25. The video reveals and previews the film's theme song "Michinori" (Distance) by Takako Tate, and also reveals additional cast members.

Hiroya Shimizu will play Mitsuru Aiba, Haruka's classmate who secretly supports her. In addition, Rinka Ōtani, Rena Ōtsuka, Seina Nakata, Ayaka Konno, Arisa Sakura, Kenshin Endō, Kazuki Ōtomo, Masato Endō, Aki Morita, Masahiro Toda, Reiko Kataoka, and Minori Terada will play as-yet unspecified roles in the film.

They will join Anna Yamada (seen below), who will play the lead character Haruka Nozaki.

Eisuke Naitō (live-action Lychee Light Club) is directing the film, with a script by Miako Tadano. The film opens in Japan on April 7.

The manga centers on Haruka Nozaki, a young middle school girl who, due to her father's job, has to transfer from her school in Tokyo to a school that is about to close, located in a rural town. As an outsider, she immediately faces severe bullying. Not wanting to cause trouble for her sister and the rest of her family, Haruka had planned to just ignore them until graduation. But when the bullying escalates, her parents die in a fire, while her sister survives with severe burns. Haruka then plans her revenge.

Oshikiri launched the manga in Bunkasha's Horror M magazine in 2007 and ended it in 2009. Bunkasha published three compiled book volumes for the manga, and Futabasha re-released the manga in two volumes in 2013.
