Precure a la Mode Film Promises Sweet Treats for Moviegoers

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The Eiga Kirakira ☆ Precure a la Mode: Paris to! Omoide no Mille-Feuille!! (Kirakira ☆ Precure a la Mode the Movie: With Paris! Mille-Feuille of Memories) anime film will make good on its namesake by offering excited moviegoers a trio of delicious donuts.

The Mister Donut fast-food chain is making three confections that come in a themed box. One of the treats is a Pekorin donut that recreates the series' mascot from a pink-glazed ring with marshmallow ears and a dollop of whip cream for her hair. The Pekorin donut can be bought on its own for 259 yen (US$2.30). The donut trio with special box includes the Pekorin donut and two others of the buyer's choice for 500 yen (US$4.50). For an additional 100 yen (US$.90), the box will come with a recipe, too.

The donuts are available at Mister Donut locations in Japan starting on July 20 and are only available while supplies last.

Eiga Kirakira ☆ Precure a la Mode: Paris to! Omoide no Mille-Feuille!! (Kirakira ☆ Precure a la Mode the Movie: With Paris! Mille-Feuille of Memories) will premiere in Japan on October 28. In the story, the Precure members go to France as part of a cooking competition. While in France, Ciel (Cure Parfait) is suddenly unable to change into her Precure form, and her sweets making is going badly as well. During the competition, suddenly the streets of Paris turn to sweets.

This Mister Donut franchise was originally founded in the U.S. in 1956 but since moved to Japan as its base of operations and the country now hosts over 1,300 store locations.
