The project's story centers on delinquent students at all-male high schools. Once a year, the strongest delinquent students gather for Kenka Fes (Fight Festival) and compete for their school to come out on top. A rumor is spreading that Karikari Academy, a regular participant, is withdrawing from this year's competition. After hearing the news, other high schools begin to drop out. It looks like this year's event will be cancelled. However, one reckless delinquent is determined persevere and do whatever it takes to enter the festival.
Kagetora Chatani attends Matatabi High School, known within the prefecture for its idiots. He goes to pick a fight at Karikari Academy. On the way, he takes care of a cat who was abandoned on the street in cardboard. Chatani arrives at the school and tells the leader of the delinquents, Kōsei Kurose, that if he beats him in a fight, their school will also have to enter the festival competition. After taking a strong hit, Chatani suddenly turns into a cat. Kurose also turns into a cat, and according to him, the same phenomenon is happening at other high schools. The schools were dropping out of the festival because no one wants to expose the truth. Nevertheless, Chatani is unfazed and remains as determined as ever to compete.
Takara Tomy posted a promotional video for the project in February.
Yuki Shibamiya is illustrating a manga for the project, and it is serializing in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine. LINE messaging app accounts for the characters allow fans to communicate with AI versions of the characters. The Chatani LINE account is already available, and Kurose's will debut on May 19.
