Puzzle platformer slated for spring 2017

NIS America announced on Wednesday that it will release Nippon Ichi Software's A Rose in the Twilight (Rose to Tasogare no Kojō) puzzle platformer game in North America and Europe in spring 2017 for PlayStation Vita and PC via Steam. The company streamed an announcement trailer:

The game will have a physical Standard Edition, physical Limited Edition, and a digital version on PS Vita. The Limited Edition includes the game, a collector's box, a 36-page softcover art book, a soundtrack, a double-sided rose rubber strap, and a 5" stress ball.

NIS America will offer both the Standard and Limited Editions in North America, and only the Limited Edition in Europe. The Standard Edition will retail for US$19.99, and the Limited Edition will retail for US$39.99. Both are exclusive to NIS America's online store.

The game originally shipped in Japan for PS Vita last April.

Masayuki Furuya directed A Rose in the Twilight and also designed the game's characters. Hajime Sugie composed the music.

The game's protagonist is Rose (pictured left above), who awakens in the ruins of an "Old Twilight Castle," which has lost both "color" and "time." The player controls Rose as she manipulates time and the color red with the "Curse of Thorns" and aims to escape the Old Twilight Castle. Along the way, Rose meets a giant (pictured right above) with superhuman strength, who helps Rose reach her goal.
