Evangelion's Yoshiyuki Sadamoto Designs Characters for Upcoming Mystery RPG

Preorders are being taken for Black Rose Suspects, a suspenseful mystery RPG for smartphones. It has attracted attention for its character designs, which are by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Summer Wars, Nadia - Secret of Blue Water).

After another Great Depression called the Greatest Gap, the world has come under the rule of a single government known as the Earth Union. To ensure lasting peace, the Earth Union seeks to control Earthlings at the genetic level, and to do that, it needs the help of Liberty Gate University's Red System research project. Meanwhile, a Liberty Gate hotelier and former New York City policeman named Ian Hunter is hunting for his younger brother, Byrd, who has been implicated in an unsolved murder case known as Black Rose. His investigation takes him deep into the darkness surrounding the Earth Union...

The game's theme song will be Good Morning America's "No Fang."

Black Rose Suspects will be released in the winter. Preorders can be done via e-mail, Twitter or LINE on the official website. Sadamoto obliquely referred to this game in an interview we had with him earlier this year. Nadia resurfaced on his Twitter feed last August.
