Flying Witch Petit Short's 8th Episode Shows Sleep Talking Akane & Chinatsu

The official website for the television anime of Chihiro Ishizuka's Flying Witch manga began streaming the eighth Flying Witch Petit short anime episode on Friday, and the seventh episode on June 10.
The eighth episode opens with Makoto finding her cousin Chinatsu and her sister Akane taking a nap. While Makoto chuckles at Chinatsu's sleep talking, Akane's sleep talking has Makoto momentarily suspicious of whether Akane is actually sleeping or not. When Makoto's familiar Chito arrives on the scene, he calls attention to the comfort the midday sun provides. When Chinatsu and Akane sleep talk one after another, Makoto wonders if they might be sharing the same dream. When Chito says that it's possible, Akane lies down beside them, hoping to intrude on their dream as well.
In the seventh episode, Makoto explains to Chito that she is maintaining her broom. She says that, while there are many ways to do it, her particular method involves mixing camellia oil and water in a spray bottle, spraying the mixture on the broom, and then brushing it down. She notices that it is similar to maintaining hair, and daydreams of running a salon-like establishment for brooms.
A "special version" of the first two episodes of the short shipped with the first DVD and Blu-ray Disc volume in Japan on June 22. The second DVD and Blu-ray Disc volume will ship with the third and fourth episodes, and then each of the subsequent home video releases will ship with one episode each, for a total of eight Flying Witch Petit episodes.
The main anime's comical story follows the 15-year-old witch Makoto Kowata and the other boys and girls in her daily life. With her black cat Chito, the somewhat aimless girl moved from Yokohama to live with her second cousin in Aomori in verdant northern Japan.
The main anime premiered on April 9, and ended on Saturday. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired and Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series. Vertical will release Ishizuka's original manga in North America.
