Latest Monogatari Novel Promoted with Super Mario Game Spoof

Wazamonogatari, the second light novel volume in the "Off Season" of NisiOisin's Monogatari Series is getting a mobile game tie-in. The website will formally launch on January 30, but is currently hosting a Super Mario spoof video depicting Koyomi's sister Karen Araragi hitting a block that rotates out the kanji of the series' previous novels. When the block displays "Waza," Shinobu and a donut come out of the block like a Mario power-up mushroom.
Two more "Off Season" novels will follow Wazamonogatari titled Nademonogatari and Musubimonogatari. Both novels are slated for this year, but the novel did not note the order of their release. Wazamonogatari was released in Japan on January 13.
