Can Oculus Founder Palmer Luckey Bring Us More Re:Zero?

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Oculus founder Palmer Luckey might be followed by controversy and questionable cosplay choices, but the man knows a good waifu when he sees one. Luckey, a man estimated to be worth US$700 million in 2015, directly asked Re:Zero light novel author Tappei Nagatsuki who has to give money to in order to produce a Re:Zero Rem IF film.

Luckey is referring to the bonus "what if" chapters where Subaru and Rem decide to go ahead with the idea he proposed in the third arc and run off together instead of figuring out a way to gain support to prevent the cultists from wiping out the village. The chapters were published online and then compiled into a 290-page light novel included with the anime Blu-ray release.

He reaffirmed his dedication to Rem in a recent tweet about marriage rights.

Luckey hasn't, at least publicly, received a response from the staff involved in Re:Zero. Fans will have to continue to keep their fingers crossed.
