Mobile Game Idols Suit Up as Real Wedding Guests

The idols from the mobile game Tokimeki Restaurant ☆☆☆ are crossing into the 3D world as wedding guests. The Almalien Tokyo wedding venue in Ikebukuro will have life-sized panels of the 3 Majesty and X.I.P. idols, for a total of six characters, available for pictures on June 24-25.
The venue will place the cut-outs near the chapel entrance for pictures and also offer a limited sweets buffet. Freelance illustrator Makoto Senzai is contributing special illustrations of the characters in tuxedos. So far, the collaboration has revealed Senzai's illustrations of 3 Majesty's Kaito Tsuji and X.I.P.'s Kyōya Date.
Since the availability is limited, Almalien Tokyo will accept applications starting on June 1, and participants will be chosen by lottery. A lottery will also choose one person per day to receive an add-on package for hair, make-up, costumes, and photography with a cameraman. Regular access to the event will cost 7,000 yen (about US$63). The add-on package will cost 100,000 yen (US$898). An official website for the collaboration will launch at the end of May.
Konami and KOEI-Tecmo's Tokimeki Restaurant social dating sim mobile game launched 2013. The player takes the role of a small-time chef with six idols who are regular patrons. Players have to balance bettering their cooking skills and socializing with the idols to win their affection.
Like many idol games, Tokimeki Restaurant units release tie-in singles and albums. The 3Majesty and X.I.P. units will also appear at the "Splash Summer Fes 2017" running in August at the DMM VR Theater. The units' "Splash Summer" album goes on sale on August 2.
