2nd Promo Video for Sanrio Boys Smartphone Dating App Streamed

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Sanrio released the second promotional video for its Sanrio Danshi ~ Watashi, Koi o, Shirimashita~ (Sanrio Boys ~ I knew love ~) smartphone dating app game.

Sanrio announced the game and cast on July 6 and scheduled it for release this September. Pre-registration for the game is ongoing and the website is running a campaign where those who register will receive special in-game gifts based on the number of pre-registrations.

30,000 people - 50 physical strength recovery items

60,000 people - 10 House Gatcha Medals (Avatars can turn the Gacha 5 times)

90,000 people - five Story Tickets and a Sanrio character avatar

120,000 people - Special story "Sanrio men's after-school" with all of the Sanrio Boy characters

If the game achieves more 120,000 registrations, the staff will release a list of even more benefits. So far, 60,000 people have pre-registered for the game.

The cast includes:

Takuya Eguchi (Haikyu!!'s Yūji Terushima, My Love Story!!'s Takeo Gōda) as Kōta Hasegawa, a high school boy who loves Pom Pom Purin

Sōma Saitō (Dance with Devils' Rem Kaginuki, Rokka: Braves of Six Flowers' Adlet Myer) as Yū Mizuno, who loves My Melody

Jun Oosuka (Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu's Ogawa) as Shunsuke Yoshino, who loves Hello Kitty

Hiroyuki Kagura (Bungo Stray Dogs' Kenji Miyazawa) as Ryō Nishimiya, who loves Little Twin Stars

Yūma Uchida (King of Prism's Yū Suzuno, Gundam Build Fighters Try's Yūma Kōsaka) as Seiichiro Minamoto, who loves Cinnamoroll

The Sanrio Boys are a group of high school boys with a soft spot for Sanrio characters; they bond over their shared interest and feel less ashamed of their love of cuteness. The player character has five eligible boyfriends and can reach two types of endings. She can also bond with the boys over their shared love of Sanrio characters — with couple-coordinated outfits and rooms.

Pre-registration and more game information is available on the official website. Two manga series inspired by the project were announced in January: Mai Andō launched the fist 4 chapter series on Manga ONE app in April and a different manga adaptation by Mai Andō launched in Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine in June. Characters goods such as clear files and keychains are available for purchase on the Sanrio website.
