Sakuya Amano's Konohana Kitan Manga Gets Anime

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Manga centers on fox spirits who work as hostesses at otherworldly hot spring hotel

The fifth compiled book volume of Sakuya Amano's Konohana Kitan manga revealed on Friday that the manga will get an anime adaptation. Gentosha's Comic Birz magazine will reveal more information at a later date.

The manga's story is set in Kokohana-tei, a hot spring hotel located in an inn town between our world and the other world, where many people go to visit. The story portrays the lives of fox spirits, who take the form of girls and work at the hotel.

The manga originates from Amano's earlier Konohana-tei Kitan manga, which launched in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime S magazine in 2009. Amano put the manga on hiatus in 2010. Four years later, Amano relaunched the manga with the new Konohana Kitan title in Comic Birz.

Amano also drew the manga adaptation of Kazuki Sakuraba's Gosick light novel series, which debuted in Kadokawa's Monthly Dragon Age magazine in 2008, and ended in 2012 with eight volumes. Amano launched the Doubt! manga in Kadokawa's Dengeki Daioh magazine in 2012, and ended it in 2014 with four volumes.
