Crunchyroll to Stream This Art Club Has a Problem!, Naria Girls Anime

Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that it will stream the This Art Club Has a Problem! (Kono Bijutsu-bu niwa Mondai ga Aru!) and Naria Girls (Mahō Shōjo? Naria Girls) anime. Crunchyroll will announce streaming details for Naria Girls at a later date.

This Art Club Has a Problem!'s streaming will begin on Thursday, July 7 at 3:30 p.m. EDT, and it will be available in the United States (and its territories), Canada, Latin America (Central and South America including Caribbean), the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, and the Netherlands.

In addition, Crunchyroll revealed the streaming details for Mob Psycho 100, as well as a corrected streaming launch date for Ange Vierge. Mob Psycho 100's streaming launches on July 11 at 12:30 p.m. EDT, and will be available worldwide except in Asia. Ange Vierge's streaming begins on Saturday, July 9 at 2:00 p.m. EDT, and will be available worldwide except in Asia.

An ordinary arts club at an ordinary middle school, Tsukimori Middle School.

One member, Uchimaki Subaru, wastes his abundant talent trying to draw his perfect 2D waifu. Another, Usami Mizuki, can't stop thinking about the loser that is Uchimaki-kun. Then there is the club president, who, despite being asleep all the time, seems to care for the two, and another vague, sketchy member, Colette.

Today, yet again, in this art club full of mild disappointments, a problem arises.

The anime adapts Imigimuru's manga of the same name. Kei Oikawa (Outbreak Company, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO!, Minami-ke: Okaeri) is directing the series at studio feel. Naruhisa Arakawa (MAOYU, Outbreak Company, Kingdom) is writing and overseeing the scripts, Mai Otsuka (Non Non Biyori, Shakugan no Shana) is designing the characters, and Satoshi Motoyama (Oreimo, Little Busters!, WATAMOTE) is the sound director. Kuniaki Masuda (Kiss×sis, So, I Can't Play H!) is the chief animation director.

Nana Mizuki performs the anime's opening theme song "Starting Now!," while Sumire Uesaka performs the ending theme song "Koisuru Zukei (cubic futurismo)."

The story of Naria Girls centers around three girls named Urara, Hanabi, and Inaho, who aim to become famous throughout Japan by creating anime renditions of themselves. To be a hit with everyone from kids to adults, they choose the theme of "magical girls." Now they aim to broadcast their one-cour (quarter of a year) magical girl anime. The series is labeled as a "user participation" anime.

The series premiered in Japan on Wednesday, July 6 on Tokyo MX, and it also runs on the Sun TV channel and on the Niconico streaming service in Japan.

The anime reunites key staff from the gdgd Fairies, Straight Title Robot Anime, and Tesagure! Bukatsu-mono anime series. Kōtarō Ishidate is directing the anime, and is once again working with the studio Bouncy. Ishidate is also supervising the series' scripts, while Kuniosa Hirama (Q Transformers: Kaettekita Convoy no Nazo, Masatake Yamaguchi (Straight Title Robot Anime), and Satoshi Takahashi are penning the scripts. Okazu Misoyama is designing the characters. Yoshiaki Tokunaga is credited for sound effects, while Soichi Tsunekawa is credited for sound mixing. Yasuhito Nozoe is credited as sound production manager. The logo design is credited to "i."

Main cast members Seria Fukagawa, Aoi Koga, and Yūki Kuwahara perform the theme song "We Are Naria ☆ Girls" as their characters. Hajime is performing and arranging the theme song, and Jun'ichi Inoue is composing.
