The Silver Case Game Gets HD Remastered Release Worldwide For PC This Fall

Grasshopper Manufacture announced on Friday that it will release an HD remastered version of The Silver Case game worldwide on PC this fall. The company had previously launched a teaser website for the game last month at the "believeintheinternet.com" URL, and has also launched an English Twitter account for the game.

Grasshopper Manufacture and game director Gōichi Suda or Suda51 (Let It Die, Lollipop Chainsaw, Killer is Dead) originally released the game on the PlayStation in Japan only in 1999, and it was Grasshopper Manufacture's first game. The company developed a version for the Nintendo DS, but never released it. The original game featured elements of an adventure game, a puzzle game, and a visual novel, and it revolved around the investigators of the 24-Districts Police Department, who search for a notorious murderer originally thought to be dead.

The HD remaster will mark the first time the game will have an English release, and it will be available on Playism, Steam, and other platforms. Suda said in a statement that if the game performs well, he'd also consider a remake of the Flower, Sun, and Rain game, which served as an indirect sequel to The Silver Case.
