My Hero Academia Creator Draws Poster for The Last Jedi

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Manga artist Kōhei Horikoshi is taking a break from super-powered teens to draw the characters from this winter's most highly anticipated film. The My Hero Academia creator drew Rey, Finn, Luke Skywalker, and Kylo Ren in a promotional image for Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Horikoshi is a self-proclaimed Star Wars fan. He said he is honored to be involved in any way with his favorite series. He also said he's highly anticipating the film's release and getting answers about Luke and Rey's relationship, seeing his personal favorite Kylo Ren again, what Captain Phasma is up to that was absent from the last film, whether the new AT-M6 weapon will be defeated.

He said he also can't help but imagine the final showdown and the reveal of who is "The Last Jedi."

Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens in the U.S. and Japan on December 15

Shueisha released the image in Monday's issue of Weekly Shonen Jump.

The third anime season of My Hero Academia will premiere in April. The second season premiered in Japanese with English subtitles on Crunchyroll and Hulu on April 1, and FunimationNow is streaming the English dub. The anime's first 13-episode season premiered in April 2016. Viz Media publishes the manga in the English edition of Weekly Shonen Jump and in print in North America.
