Tokyo Otaku Mode Launches Full-Graphic Evangelion Kimono Project

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Anime News Network's merchandise coverage sponsored by Tokyo Otaku Mode.

Retailer Tokyo Otaku Mode is taking feedback on designs for its Evangelion x Full Graphic Kimono project until October 31. The project currently includes six possible designs to vote on, all featuring images from the Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo anime film. The kimono design with the most votes will be turned into a 100-unit limited run exclusive to the store.

Designs feature characters Rei Ayanami, Asuka Langley Shikinami, Mari Illustrious Makinami, Shinji with Kaworu, the Eva units, and one design includes all the characters. Each kimono is expected to cost US$2,000.

The kimono will be produced by the Anything is Possible (AiP) team with dying work done by Osaka's Digina Company.

Further announcements on the project will be made in November.
