Manga Translator/Creator Anastasia Moreno Passes Away

Moreno wrote and translated Marine Corps Yumi
Manga translator and creator Anastasia Moreno passed away on Saturday after fighting cancer.
Moreno was a translator for Seven Seas Entertainment, where she translated manga such as Girl Friends, Strawberry Panic!, Kisses, Sighs, and Cherry Blossom Pink, Girls und Panzer, and Zero's Familiar. Seven Seas issued a statement on Monday.
Before becoming a manga translator, she was a member of the United States Marine Corps. She worked as an technical translator.
Moreno also wrote her own webcomic, Marine Corps Yumi, in both Japanese and English with artist Takeshi Nogami (Girls und Panzer). Nogami will continue the series.
