Evangelion's Spear of Longinus Pierces A Tomato in the Sky with Kagome Juice Collaboration

2015 marks the 20th anniversary of both Neon Genesis Evangelion and Kagome, a Japanese manufacturer of fruit and vegetable products like juice. To celebrate the milestone, the two are holding a collaboration campaign, the "Kagome 'Vegetable Wall' Destruction Project," which also includes limited edition lottery goods. And, of course, this incredible video:
The idea behind the collaboration is that breaking vegetable cell walls helps release their nutrients, which can then be readily absorbed, not unlike the Spear of Longinus piercing A.T. Fields.
The campaign, which runs from April 1 to June 30, lets fans enter serial codes from specially marked Kagome vegetable juices for the chance to win one of 500 Spear of Longinus glass reproductions, one of 1,000 Evangelion cutlery sets, or one or 2,000 original Evangelion glasses sets.
