Convention to host voice actress Haruka Terui, producers Tetsuya Kinoshita and Ryōsuke Tsuboi

Sakura-Con announced on Friday that it will premiere the English-dubbed version of Yuki Yuna Is a Hero and the English-subtitled version of Etotama on Friday, April 3 at its convention in Seattle, Washington. In addition, the convention will host voice actress Haruka Terui and producers Tetsuya Kinoshita and Ryōsuke Tsuboi.

The Yuki Yuna Is a Hero English dub premiere will precede a Q&A session with Terui, the Japanese voice of Yuna, and Kinoshita. Etotama's premiere will precede a Q&A session with Kinoshita and Tsuboi.

Ponycan USA will release the first four episodes of Yuki Yuna Is a Hero on a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack on April 10, along with a character song CD, 24-page color booklet, and two pin-up posters with illustrations by BUNBUN. The story takes place in the era of the gods, year 300. Yūna Yūki lives an ordinary life as a second year middle school student, but she's also a member of the "Hero Club," where club activities involve dealing with a mysterious being called "Vertex."

Pony Canyon USA is also hosting the Etotama premiere. Animation studio Shirogumi Inc. (Moyashimon, Antique Bakery, Friends: Mononoke Shima no Naki) and Tablier Communications are creating the original anime.

The manga adaptation, which is running Kadokawa's Dengeki Daioh magazine, revolves around Nya-tan, the cat of Chinese astrology who wants to become a member of the Chinese zodiac. Nya-tan is simple and suffers from memory loss, and she tries various foolish ways to become a member. She meets Takeru Tendo, a high school student who lives alone in Akihabara, and becomes a freeloader at his house. Little by little, she gets closer to her goal.

Other Japanese guests that will appear at Sakura-Con include producer Shinichiro Kashiwada, musical duo GARNiDELiA, animation director and character designer Hiromi Kato, director and animator Osamu Kobayashi, voice actress Sumi Shimamoto, and voice actor Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. The convention will also host voice actors Vic Mignogna and Bryce Papenbrook.
