Gunpla Fan Turns Gundam Model Into A 2D Illustration

Gunpla builder and artist Mumumuno53's custom paint job on a 1/100 scale RX-78-2 made the impossible possible. Using black lines on the contours and paint, the 3D model creates a striking illusion of being 2D. The model's shading completes the effect, ensuring a triple take if you aren't in on the secret.

Mumumuno53's awesome paint job earned the Nijigen Mokei Yukyu no Gundam (2D Model Eternal Gundam) the Gold Award at the 17th All-Japan Orazaku Championship.
