Yui Kuroe to launch K: Countdown- manga series in February issue of Aria on December 27

Kodansha's ARIA magazine announced via Twitter last month that Yui Kuroe will pen the K: Countdown manga beginning in the February issue on December 27. The manga will depict what happens after the K: Missing Kings film from the viewpoints of different characters.

Kuroe previously serialized the K -Days of Blue- and K: Memory of Red spinoff manga. The media project also inspired several other manga series, including K―Lost Small World― by Yoru Ōkita, K: The First by Rin Kimura, and Gakuen K by Jiro Suzuki.

The official Twitter account for the K anime project announced last month that production on a continuation to the franchise has been green-lit for 2015. The announcement does not specify the project's media format.
