Final Fantasy XIII Trilogy Heads to PC via Steam

All 3 games to be available by Spring 2015

Square Enix announced on Thursday that it will release Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2, and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII for PC via the Steam platform

Final Fantasy XIII will arrive on October 9 for US$16, and is available for pre-order for US$14.40 through a Steam special promotion. It will also be available on Square Enix's online store. The game will have English audio and text available in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.

Steam lists the system requirements to play Final Fantasy XIII:

Minimum Requirements:
OS: Windows XP SP2 or later
Processor: 2GHz Dual Core CPU
Memory: 1 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce 8 Series/ ATI Radeon HD 2000 series VRAM 256MB or later
DirectX: Version 9.0C
Hard Drive: 30 GB available space
Sound Card: Sound card compatible with DirectX 9.0C

Recommended Requirements:
OS: Windows Vista/ 7/ 8
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad (2.66 GHz)/ AMD Phenom II X4 (2.8 GHz) processor
Memory: 1 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA Geforce GTX 460/ ATI Radeon HD 5870
DirectX: Version 11
Hard Drive: 30 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX 11 compatible sound card

Additional Notes: A game controller using Xinput is reccomended for this game. (If using a DirectInput based controller, please use the driver side key configuration to adjust settings as required )


Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be available by Spring 2015, though Square Enix has not yet announced the dates.
