Funimation Licenses Tokyo ESP Anime

Funimation Entertainment announced on Friday that it has acquired the streaming and home video rights for the anime of Hajime Segawa's Tokyo ESP manga. The episodes will stream on Fridays at 2:05 p.m. EDT starting on July 11.
In addition, Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will stream the series on Fridays at 2:15 p.m. EDT in Bahrain, Cyprus, Iran, Islamic Republic of, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syrian, Arab Republic, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Albania, Andorra, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Malta, Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Holy See (Vatican City State), Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Monaco, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Serbia, Romania, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, Algeria, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Mauritania, Morocco, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia, and Western Sahara.
Funimation describes the story:
Rinka is a high school student in Tokyo trying to make ends meet while supporting herself and her father. Her ordinary life takes a turn for the extraordinary when she witnesses a penguin and a school of fish flying through the air. After catching up to one of the fish, she passes out and wakes up to find herself suddenly granted supernatural powers. With her newfound ability to walk through solid objects, Rinka is about to learn just how transparent the world can be.

Segawa launched the "afterschool psychic action" series in Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine in 2010, shortly after ending The Enchained Spiritual Beast Ga-Rei supernatural action series. Kadokawa published the tenth compiled book volume of Tokyo ESP in June.
