Xseed Streams Story of Seasons, Corpse Party, Senran Kagura Bon Appétit, More E3 Trailers

Xseed Games began streaming new trailers for its upcoming video game releases on Monday. The company debuted new videos for Story of Seasons, Corpse Party, Brandish, Senran Kagura Bon Appétit, Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus, and Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed.

Natsume published the previous games in the franchise as Harvest Moon in North America. However, since Xseed Games — Marvelous AQL's own subsidiary — is publishing the newest game in North America, it cannot use Natsume's Harvest Moon title. However, Story of Seasons shares the same development team, including producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto and character designer Igusa Matsuyama, as the previous Harvest Moon games. Story of Seasons will be released in North America this winter.

Feeling a bit downtrodden by the monotony of life, an energetic young individual comes across an intriguing offer in the form of a flyer: Oak Tree Town is seeking fresh young faces to become farmers and aid in bringing new life to the local economy. It's a small town, but it holds the promise of a new life replete with fulfilling work and meaningful relationships. Arriving at the town, our young protagonist begins to learn farming life from the warm and welcoming townsfolk, picking up new skills each and every day. Growing crops, caring for livestock, developing a farm, exporting crops to other countries and even looking after pets all provide new experiences and breathe new air into a once stagnant life. Can this newcomer make it as a young and inexperienced farmer Can someone who's just learned the trade grow and give back to a town full of residents who have selflessly imparted such renewed vitality?

What kinds of exciting experiences and life lessons await?

Xseed Games announced earlier this month that it will release Team GrisGris' original Corpse Party horror game for personal computers this year. Xseed will release the expanded 2008 edition of the game.

Welcome to the abandoned and (reportedly) demolished halls of Heavenly Host Elementary School, where vengeful spirits dwell and the fires of corporeal existence are repeatedly and mercilessly snuffsed. We hope you enjoy the tour, as it's not about to end anytime soon. It may even last an eternity...

At this accursed school, a series of incidents occurred in which, ultimately, four students were kidnapped... and murdered. And though this occurred 30 years ago, the Corpse Party still continues to this very day.

Xseed will release Nihon Falcom's Brandish: The Dark Revenant dungeon cralwer for PlayStation Portable consoles this year.

There once stood a prosperous kingdom called Vittoria, built around an ancient tower said to house an even more ancient dragon. This dragon was of the benevolent variety, watching over the land and keeping its people safe and secure. Vittoria's Lord Bistalle, however, was more interested in rumors of the dragon's might, devoting himself to the questionable task of slaying the beast. Although he was successful, the slaying of a god left his soul empty and hollow, transforming him into a demon and dooming his kingdom virtually overnight. Vittoria was swallowed up by the earth and its citizens transmuted into hideous monsters, cursed to wander the buried ruins of their once-great nation forevermore.

One thousand years passed, and a new kingdom was unknowingly built on the site of this fallen empire. It is from this kingdom that a stern, stoic swordsman named Ares Toraernos hails. A bounty hunter by trade, Ares has made many enemies in his time, but none as persistent as the sorceress Dela Delon. After tracking Ares to an old, abandoned mine, Dela sees her chance to finish him off once and for all -- but when one of her fireballs strikes the ground, a sinkhole is formed, claiming the two of them before either can flee to safety. XSEED Games will bring Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus West on PlayStation Vita this fall. The game is a sequel to its earlier game for Nintendo 3DS, Senran Kagura Burst.

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus immediately follows the events of Burst, revisiting the fierce rivalry between the girls of Hanzō National Academy and their sworn enemies from Hebijo Clandestine Girls' Academy, the latter of which have now gone underground and formed a mercenary strike team known as the Homura Crimson Squad. In addition to their old adversaries, the Hanzō girls must also face a whole new set of foes: the students of Gessen Girls' Academy, who seek to punish them for their imperfections as shinobi warriors. Meanwhile, a new class is in session at Hebijo, and these students mean business: they oppose all three of the competing factions and will stop at nothing to be the last shinobi squad standing – even if it means leaving broken bodies and shattered dreams in their wake.

XSEED will release Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed for for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita with dual-audio this summer.

This suburban Tokyo ward's seen it all, from Japan's post-war reconstruction to the economic Bubblegum Crisis of the '80s. Enter, the "Synthisters" -- vampires who prey upon the life energy of the town's unsuspecting figurine-chasers, maid café connoisseurs and cosplayers. Those victimized by Synthisters take on the properties of their attackers while also withdrawing from society and becoming veritable shut-ins due to their newfound fatal weakness to sunlight.

Akiba's Trip tells the story of one such unfortunate soul: a young man named Nanashi who was lured into a trap by the promise of rare character goods and transformed into one of the walking undead. He, however, was spared the worst of his fate by the bloody kiss of a mysterious Synthister hunter named Shizuku. Together with the rest of his companions in an organization unofficially dubbed the "Akiba Freedom Fighters," Nanashi and Shizuku must uncover the truth behind the Synthister plague and save Akiba from being overrun by violent, antisocial energy vampires. And of course, the best way to fight vampires is to strip them down to their skivvies so they melt in the noonday sun...
