Sailor Moon's Cutie Moon Rod Gets a Proplica Update

Fresh off the release of the Proplica Moon Stick, fans can now perform their own Moon Princess Halation attack with this Proplica Cutie Moon Rod from Bandai.

In addition to sound and light features, the item will also come with a display stand. Those eager to check out a prototype in person can see it on June 14-15 at the Tokyo Toy Show.

While the proplica is similar to the Bandai toy first sold in 1993, it's gotten a price increase to match the hike in quality—each one will run you ¥10,000, or $98. Pre-orders will begin July 1, with the item expected to ship in October.
