Code Geass: Oz the Reflection Manga to End in June

Spinoff series about female anti-terrorist mecha pilot launched in 2012

The July issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comp Ace magazine is announcing on Monday that the Code Geass: Oz The Reflection (Code Geass : Sōbō no Oz) spinoff manga will end in the next issue on June 26. The series launched in Kadokawa Shoten's Newtype Ace magazine in 2012 and switched to Monthly Comp Ace last August.

The manga revolves around Aldrin Zevon, a girl in the Britannia Empire's anti-terrorist unit Glinda Knights who pilots the KMF Lancelot Grail. (The crest of the Glinda Knights indicates that the name is a reference to Glinda the Good Witch from the Oz novels.)

Eiji Nakata, the designer of the Knightmare Frames in the original television series, designed the new KMFs in Code Geass: Oz The Reflection, and fellow mechanical designer Kenji Teraoka (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Mobile Suit Gundam 00) also returned from the previous Code Geass projects. The television anime's character designer Takahiro Kimura drafted the rough character designs for Oz The Reflection.

The multimedia Code Geass spinoff also launched a photo story in Hobby Japan magazine in 2012. The photo story centers around Orpheus Zevon (Jivon), a young terrorist with the Knightmare Frame (KMF) Byakuen. Shigeru Morita (Code Geass: Akito the Exiled, A Dark Rabbit Has Seven Lives) of Studio Nue provided the story.

Newtype Ace magazine bundled a Code Geass: Oz The Reflection original picture drama DVD in 2013. The drama stars Maaya Uchida (NAKAIMO's Yuu, Yuruyuri's Mari, Sankarea's Rea) as Maribelle and Nana Hamasaki (Ōkami-san & Her Seven Companions theme song) as Oldrin.
