List of Current Anime With Completed Productions (Updated May 24)

Here is all of ANN's coverage of current anime that have confirmed the completion of production, and have not been delayed due to the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) so far.

• Stars Align (special fan movie epilogue completed and now streaming)
• The Magnificent KOTOBUKI compilation film (completed dialogue recording)
• BNA: Brand New Animal (premiered on March 21)
• Arte (premiered on April 4)
• Ascendance of a Bookworm (premiered on April 4)
• Dropkick on My Devil!! Dash (premiered on April 6 with all 11 episodes on the same day)
• My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! (premiered on April 4)
• Sing "Yesterday" for Me (premiered on April 4)

Individual animators have reported that their work is complete on the following anime, but not necessarily the production as a whole:

• Tower of God (animators reported completing their work)

A staff member reported the following production was almost complete:

• Kaguya-sama: Love is War Season 2 (animation producer Yasuhito Kikuchi reported "a little more work remains" on April 16)

Entertainment Weekly reported on May 13 that COVID-19 has not affected Studio Ghibli's progress on Hayao Miyazaki's next film, Kimi-tachi wa Dō Ikiru ka (How Do You Live?). Miyazaki is still directing a minute of animation per month, and producer Toshio Suzuki is hoping they will finish in the next three years.

Kyoto Animation is extending its work hiatus until the end of May, due to Japan extending its nationwide state of emergency through May 31. Kyoto announced on May 15 that it is partially lifting its restrictions on businesses on the next day. As of May 16, Kyoto Animation's website still lists the hiatus as ending on May 31.

Polygon Pictures announced on April 7 that all company employees would switch to remote work starting on the next day. The measures were tentatively scheduled from April 8 to May 6, although the studio announced on April 28 that employees will continue remote work until May 20.

Studio Colorido announced on February 27 that it ordered its staff to work from home, after learning that a person close to an outsourced freelancer may have had close contact with a person infected with COVID-19. All the other studios and teams of the Twin Engine Group (which includes Geno Studio, Lay-duce, Peakys, daisy, FILMONY, and team Yamahitsuji) also worked from home from February 28 to at least March 13, due to the frequent interactions between the group studios. Twin Engine added on March 20 that its studios would continue working from home for the foreseeable future.

Several series such as Anpanman and Sazae-san have aired new episodes this spring, but halted dialogue voice recording on future episodes. Crunchyroll, Funimation, HIDIVE, and Netflix have all released series without English dubs, although Crunchyroll and Funimation have since resumed dubbing some series. The English dub of the Bakugan: Armored Alliance anime is also continuing.
