Sol Press Releases How to Treat a Lady Knight Right, Ride-On King Manga

Company to also release 3 adult games from developer Windmill

Anime News Network's coverage of Anime Expo 2019 is sponsored by Yen Press.

Sol Press announced at Anime Expo on Saturday that it has licensed Kengo Matsumoto's How to Treat a Lady Knight Right and Yasushi Baba's The Ride-On King manga.

The first volumes of both of the manga are available at Sol Press' booth at Anime Expo.

Baba launched The Ride-On King in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine in May 2018. The manga's story centers on Alexander Plutinov, the president for life of the country of Prusia, a country ruled by violence and the influence of its government. Alexander always desires to be dominant, and "ride" things, whether literally or figuratively. Now that he has already ridden his country, his next target is a fantasy world that has orcs, wyverns, and centaurs.

Baba ended his Golosseum manga in December 2017. Kodansha Comics has licensed the manga for North America.

Matsumoto's How to Treat a Lady Knight Right (Ima made Ichidomo Onna Atsukai sareta koto ga nai Onna Kishi wo Onna Atsukai Suru Manga) manga centers on the strongest female knight named Reo, who has not once ever been treated like a woman. One day, however, a sorcerer suddenly confesses to her.

The manga runs in Monthly Shonen Sirius, and Kodansha will publish the manga's third compiled volume in Japan on July 9.

Sol Press also announced that it will release three adult games from the developer Windmill: Witch's Garden, Hyper—Highspeed—Genius, and Happiness! 2 Sakura Celebration.

Windmill's Witch's Garden game launched on PC in November 2012 to commemorate the developer's 10th anniversary. Hyper—Highspeed—Genius launched on PC in June 2011 as the company's 10th work.

Happiness! 2: Sakura Celebration launched on PC on February 22, and is the latest game from the developer. The developer's Happiness! franchise inspired a television anime adaptation in 2006 that Crunchyroll streamed in 2009 and Maiden Japan released on DVD in 2014.

Update: Sol Press has confirmed with ANN that it will release the three Windmill games with all-ages versions.
