Gundam 40th Anniversary Adds Cinema Concerts

Mobile Suit Gundam's 40th anniversary has included exciting new anime projects and an epic face-off against Hello Kitty but the franchise is just getting started. The staff have multiple live events, including concerts and theater screenings, in the works.
The first cinema concert of the "Gundam" series will be held at Tokyo Opera City on August 16 and 17. The Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra will perform live music while animation appears on screen. Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin composer Takayuki Hattor will lead the performance.
The "GUNDAM 40th FES." LIVE-BEYOND " event is scheduled for September 7 and 8 at the Makuhari Messe Event Hall in Chiba prefecture. Staff will announce further details about what kind of performances fans can expect on the Gundam 40th Anniversary Official Site.
Theaters across Japan will hold screenings focusing on films from the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise. The new screenings are dubbed the "Gundam Video New Experience Tour". The showings will include immersive 4DX screenings.
Finally, the February 24 performance of the Mobile Suit Gundam 00 stage show is streaming until May 7 on the Gundam Fan Club, Bandai Channel, DMM, GyaO!, Amazon, YouTube, and many other streaming services in Japan.
