Film opened in Japan on February 15.

Eight members of the cast of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion shared their comments on the film on February 8 ahead of the opening day on February 15. The film tells an original animated story based on Fujino Ōmori's Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? light novel series.

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, who plays Bell, said, "I'm simply happy ... My mood right now is Yay! We did it! O God!! I want to bow my head to God with Ōmori-sensei!"

Inori Minase, who plays Hestia, said, "Hestia is the first heroine I've played in a TV anime. I'm so happy to break into the big screen with her."

Maaya Sakamoto, who plays Artemis, said, "I'm playing a new character who appears for the first time, so I'm both nervous and excited to see how everyone will react to her."

Maaya Uchida, who plays Liliruca, said, "I've had so many opportunities to play Liliruca that it hardly even feels like it's been four years. I'm delighted to play her in a film as well!"

Yoshimasa Hosoya, who plays Welf, said, "The fact that the film was timed at this stage makes me think that this series will continue for a long while yet. I think it's a message to all the fans."

Sōma Saitō, who plays Hermes, said, "From the moment I first got involved in this series, I had a feeling it would make its way to the big screen. As a fan myself, I'm so happy to see this film come out!"

Saori Hayami, who plays Ryū, said, "I've enjoyed playing both Ryū's quiet yet warm side in the TV anime, as well as her mischievous side in the games. And now finally she's in a film. I'm so excited."

Ai Kayano, who plays Asfi, said, "We made it to the big screen because of all of your support."

The film opened in at least 43 theaters in Japan on February 15. Sentai Filmworks has licensed the film and will release it in U.S. theaters. The film will also screen in United Kingdom, Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand.
