Laid-Back Camp Anime Inspires Real-World Version of Nadeshiko's Curry

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

Fans can already recreate the scene from Laid-Back Camp when Rin gives Nadeshiko instant curry ramen. Soon, the anime's fans will also be able to enjoy Nadeshiko's curry from the fifth episode.

The packaged curry, named "Yurukyan△ Nadeshiko Saku Tonkotsu Nikomi Curry" (Laid-Back Camp's Nadeshiko-Made Tonkotsu Stew Curry), will have a tonkotsu (pork belly and bone dish) powder soup base. Because the anime is set in Yamanashi, the prefecture's Minobusan Ropeway, Michi no Eki Fujikawa, Monde Winery, New Life Katakura Isawa-ten, and other roadside stations will offer the curry for sale. Alongside the curry's release, palm-sized tin badges will also be available.

Yen Press is releasing the original Yurukyan△ manga in English, and Crunchyroll streamed the 12-episode anime series as it aired last winter.
