Crunchyroll announced during its Anime Expo panel on Thursday that it will stream the Music Girls anime this summer and the RErideD: Derrida, who leaps through time, Double Decker! Doug & Kirill, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Radiant anime this fall.

Music Girls will premiere on AT-X on Friday at 11:00 p.m., before later airing on Tokyo MX and BS11 on Saturday late at night. AsianCrush is also streaming the series.

The anime is based on the anime short that Studio DEEN produced for the Anime Mirai 2015 project. The story follows the protagonist Hanako Yamadaki when she encounters the obscure, low-selling 11-member "C-list" idol unit Ongaku Shōjo. Their producer Ikehashi thinks the unit needs a new member. Together, Ongaku Shōjo and Hanako strive for the top of the music world.

Yukio Nishimoto (Animal Yokocho, Najica Blitz Tactics, The Galaxy Railways) is directing the television anime at Studio DEEN. Deko Akao (After the Rain, Amanchu!, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Flying Witch, Noragami) is supervising and writing the series scripts. Momoka Komatsu is adapting the original character designs by Matsuri Santa for animation. King Records is producing the music.

Kadokawa revealed the RErideD: Derrida, who leaps through time anime in March after first announcing the anime under the title "Project D." Crunchyroll is co-producing the anime, and confirmed that it will premiere it in October.

Takuya Satō (Steins;Gate, Armitage III: Poly-Matrix, Selector Infected Wixoss) is directing the anime at Geek Toys, and illustrator Yoshitoshi ABe (Serial Experiments Lain, Texhnolyze, Haibane Renmei) is designing the characters.

The anime's official website describes the story:

The year is 2050. A young engineer named Derrida Yvain became famous thanks to his contribution to the development of the "Autonomous Machine DZ" at Rebuild, the manufacturing company founded by his father. One day, Derrida and his colleague Nathan discover a flaw in the DZs and try to warn their boss, but are ignored. Although Derrida and Nathan are aware of the danger, they reluctantly decide to put off taking any measures, and instead go to Nathan's daughter Mage's birthday party. The next day, after enjoying a peaceful day, Derrida and Nathan are suddenly attacked by unknown forces. At the end of the escape, Derrida falls into a cold sleep machine and 10 years later, he wakes up to a devastated world in the middle of a war. While Derrida is attacked by a group of out of control DZs, he almost gives up, but he recall's Nathan's last words.

"Take care of Mage."

Despite the harsh fate that has fallen upon him, Derrida sets off to seek Mage.

Beyond the time, we reunite — this is the story of a journey for hope.
