Fate/stay night's Lancer is the Star of Side-Scrolling, 8-Bit Browser Game

Aniplex and team ladybug prepared an a special video game for its home video release of the Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel I. presage flower film. For once, Saber is stepping aside as the franchise's star to let Lancer shine in an 8-bit styled side-scroller game called RUN!RUN! Lancer!

The Aniplex+ store is bundling the game with its limited edition Blu-ray release for 10,260 yen (US$94). If you'd like to try the game out before buying, a browser version is available with instructions right now.

The Machi Asobi vol.20 event held on May 4-6 hosted a RUN!RUN! Lancer competition where 76 players were eventually whittled down to 16. The finalists headed to the ufotable cinema location to compete in front of Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel I. presage flower associate producer Yūma Takahashi.

The game recreates the scene from the film where Lancer pursues Assassin and players do their best to achieve longest distance run before time runs out.

Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel I. presage flower opened in theaters in Japan in October and is slated to premiere in U.S. theaters with an English dub on June 5. The U.S. theatrical premiere opened on November 3.
