Isekai Cheat Magician Light Novels Get Anime

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Novels about 2 friends who receive high physical, magical power in fantasy world also has manga

The official Twitter account for Kadokawa's Shōnen Ace magazine revealed on Monday that Takeru Uchida's Isekai Cheat Magician (Fantasy World Cheat Magician) novel series will get an anime adaptation.

The story centers on Taichi Nishimura and his friend Rin, who both get transported into a fantasy world. While in their previous world, Taichi is a normal person who just has higher than average reflexes, both he and Rin gain high levels of physical and magical ability, and begin their new life as magicians.

Uchida debuted the story in the "Shōsetsuka ni Narō" (Let's Be Novelists) website in 2012, and is still updating the story. Shufunotomo is publishing the story in physical volumes with illustrations by Nardack, beginning with the first volume in 2013. Shufunotomo released the seventh volume last December, and will ship the eighth volume in May. Karin Suzuragi launched a manga adaptation of the novels in Shōnen Ace in December 2012, and Kadokawa published the manga's second volume last October, and will ship the third volume on April 26.

The novels and manga together have 850,000 copies in print.

Kadokawa began streaming an ad on Monday for the third manga volume, which also announces the anime.
