Promotional tourism anime have resurrected historical figures and shown off area landmarks. The city of Ōgaki in Gifu has a new promotional anime that does both by adapting the story Oan Monogatari, an account of the Battle of Sekigahara at Ōgaki castle by a woman named Oan and overlapping it with modern Ōgaki.
The anime is titled Oan Monogatari: Sono Natsu, Watashi ga Shitta koto and follows Oamu of past Gifu and An, a modern girl.
Japanese novelist and Ōgaki native Kō Nakamura came up with the original concept for the anime and wrote the script. Futoshi Matsumoto directed the anime with assistant director by Shuji Ono at Asura Film. Kōtarō Nakamori is credited with key animation and Yūji Kaneko was in charge of art direction.
The short stars Suzuko Mimori as An, Haruka Yoshimura as the older sister, and Ayaka Imamura as Oamu.
