Mitsuboshi Colors Creator's Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu Comedy Manga Gets TV Anime

posted on by Egan Loo
Chisaki Morishita plays shy girl vowing to make friends with her entire middle school class

The final episode of the Mitsuboshi Colors television anime ended on Monday with an announcement that a television anime adaptation of Katsuwo's Hitori Bocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu (Solitary "__" Life or Hitori Bocchi's "__" Life) manga has been green-lit. Chisaki Morishita will play the lead character Bocchi Hitori.

The four-panel comedy manga centers around an extremely shy girl named Bocchi Hitori. (Her name is a wordplay on a Japanese term for solitary.) She enters middle school and vows to "make friends with the entire class" by graduation. The story follows her lonely struggle to accomplish her goal.

Kadokawa's Comic Dengeki DaiohG magazine serializes the original manga, and Kadokawa published the fourth compiled book volume on February 26.

Katsuwo's Mitsuboshi Colors manga inspired the television anime of the same name which ran from January until March. Sentai Filmworks streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
