This year's 11th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed more cast members on Saturday for the upcoming third television anime season based on Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia manga.

The new cast includes:

Kiyotaka Furushima as Mustard, whose quirk is "Sleep Gas"

Shuhei Matsuda as Moonfish, whose quirk is "Tooth Blade"

Kōsuke Takaguchi as Muscular, whose quirk is "Muscle Augment"

Mustard, Moonfish, and Muscular are all members of the League of Villains.

The new season will premiere on April 7, and will remain in the 5:30 p.m. timeslot on Saturdays that the second season held on YTV, NTV, and 27 other network affiliates. Funimation will stream the series.

The third season will feature the same staff, including director Kenji Nagasaki at BONES, scriptwriter Yousuke Kuroda, character designer Yoshihiko Umakoshi (with assistance by Hitomi Odashima), and composer Yuuki Hayashi. The new season will cover the forest school trip arc from Kōhei Horikoshi's original manga.

An upcoming anime film, titled My Hero Academia THE MOVIE, will premiere this summer. The movie will show the previously unrevealed past of a certain character, and will also feature the characters of Class A.

The anime's first 13-episode season premiered in April 2016, and the second 25-episode series premiered in April 2017. The manga has also inspired a spinoff manga series, as well as several video games. Bandai Namco Entertainment will release the My Hero Academia: One's Justice game in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch this year. Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe will release the game for the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC this year.

Horikoshi launched the superhero manga series in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014, and Shueisha published the 17th compiled volume on February 2. The manga has more than 13 million copies in print. The manga's 13th and 14th compiled book volumes both bundled an original anime. Viz Media is publishing the manga digitally in its Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and in print.
