Nature is the Focus at Hakumei & Mikochi Fairy Cafe

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Are you watching Hakumei and Mikochi over at HIDIVE this season? The series chronicles two fairies' tiny lives in the woods, whether that means taking a day trip on the back of a beetle or going to a market staffed by animals selling their wares. It's just one of the many adorable shows taking center stage this season, but if you want to experience the magic for yourself, you'll have to head to the Cure Maid Cafe or Pasela Karaoke locations in Akihabara.

These collaboration cafes are offering food and drinks inspired by the lives of Hakumei and Mikochi. The two locations have different menus but both try to capture the wild vegetation and sweet treats two fairies would feast on for lunch. The Cure Maid Cafe will serve Wild Vegetable and Dried Meat Risotto, Forest Salad, Pear Jam and Honey Waffles, and Evening Kite Parfait. Character-themed drinks will include a hot forest matcha milk.

The Pasela cafe will serve Hakumei and Michiko's Dinnertime Drink Set, Takayama Tomato Minestrone Pasta, Big Harvest! Big Raspberry Parfait and character collaboration drinks. Both locations will have a "secret menu" that visitors can order from if they bring a receipt from the other cafe. The Cure Maid Cafe will give away one random postcard as an order bonus, and Pasela will give away a random coaster.

Both locations will offer their collaboration menus from February 2-18.

The anime based on Takuto Kashiki's Hakumei to Mikochi: Tiny little life in the woods manga premiered in Japan on AT-X on January 12. The anime will ship in two home video boxes (in either Blu-ray Disc or DVD format), and the second box will include the new original video anime (OVA) "Neji to Bed to Irori to Bakuchi" (Screws, Beds, Fireplaces, and Gambling).
