Share the Love with Takagi-san, Fate/GO Shogakukan Girls This Valentine's Day

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The Prince of Tennis might take the cake when it comes to yearly Valentine celebrations, but that doesn't stop other series from getting in on the decadent holiday. Teasing Master Takagi-san, the Fate/Grand Order mobile game, and the heroines from publisher Shogakukan's manga series are ready to hear your love confessions.

Teasing Master Takagi-san (Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san) will hold a four-part Valentine-themed events at different locations within Tokyo. Staying in theme with the series, one event is based on the in-series "Kara Choco" joke, basically ambiguously received chocolate where the receiver isn't sure whether its "obligation chocolate" or holds romantic intentions. Kara Choco is definitely something Takagi-san would give Nishikata just to fluster him.

Fans will get a chance to receive their own Kara Choco from Takagi voice actress Rie Takahashi on February 11 in Shinjuku. The event is limited to ticket holders and tickets are included with the series' first DVD and Blu-ray volume sold at Animate store locations.

The Takagi Valentine events don't stop there. The Toranoana store in Akihabara will hold a live chalk drawing event on February 10 depicting Takagi trying to give some Valentine's chocolate. The Charadri!! Akihabara location will hold a collaboration cafe starting on February 3 and a limited Valentine's Day shop in Shibuya Marui will sell original merchandise starting on February 6.

The Fate/GO girls won't be left out of the festivities. Starting on February 1, Animate locations throughout Japan will participate in the "Fate/Valentine Fair" event. Customers need only purchase one Fate series related book or magazine to receive one randomly selected Valentine card.

The heroines of Shogakukan's manga series are also harboring love this Valentine season. The "Spring Confession Fair ~Heroine Confessions Chapter~" event includes Takagi (she's everywhere!) and the girls from MIX, Eizōken ni wa Te o Dasu na!, Komi-san wa Komyushou Desu., Amano Megumi wa Suki darake!, Asahinagu, Maiko-san Chi no Makanai-san, Saotome Girl, Hitakakusu, Ageku no Hate no Kanon, and Tokusatsu Gagaga.

Shops throughout Japan will give away boxes of chocolates with confession letters from the characters. Customers just need to buy a book with the correct seal to receive their gift.

Which of the characters would you want to receive chocolates from this year? Let us know in the forums.
