posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The Google Play marketplace has opened voting for this year's best games and apps. The Japan division currently has 20 different games up for vote, including the hit actor-raising game A3!, The Idolm@ster Million Live! Theater Days idol game, BanDre! Girls Band Party!, Senki Zesshō Symphogear XD, Uta Macross Sumaho De Culture, DanMachi ~Memoria Freese~, Pokémon: Magikarp Jump, SINoALICE, Dissidea Final Fantasy Opera Omnia, Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, Madoka Magica Magia Record and Final Fantasy XV: New Kingdom.

A3, The Idolm@ster Million Live! Theater Days, BanDre! Girls Band Party!, the shooting RPG Azur Lane, and Min Golf (Everybody's Golf) are currently in the top five. The winner will be announced on December 4.

The AbemaTV video streaming app is in the top five of applications. Square Enix's "MangaUp!" and Kodansha's "Manga Pocket" apps are also in the running.

The English version of the best of Google Play has its own categories ranging from overall Best Game, to Most Competitive, Most Social, Best Indie, Most Innovative, Best to Pick Up & Play, Best for Kids, and Most Popular. The Japanese games in those categories include: TRANSFORMERS: Forged to Fight (Most Competitive), Fire Emblem Heroes (Most Competitive), Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp (Most Social), Pokémon: Magikarp Jump (Best to Pick Up & Play), and Super Mario Run (Most Popular).

Zeptolab Action's CATS: Crash Arena Turbo Stars won Best Game over all on the English-language site.

These picks, with the exception of "Most Popular," are based on editorial choices, not fan votes.
