Scum's Wish Spinoff Manga Launches Next Month

Kuzu no Honkai décor teases story after "many seasons pass"

This year's 11th issue of Square Enix's Monthly Big Gangan magazine announced on Thursday that Mengo Yokoyari's Scum's Wish (Kuzu no Honkai) spinoff manga is titled Kuzu no Honkai décor and it will launch in the magazine's next issue on November 25.

The magazine's teaser reads, "Many seasons pass... the wounds from that time change into "memories."

Crunchyroll published Scum's Wish digitally in English, and Yen Press is publishing the series in print in North America. Crunchyroll describes the story:

Hanabi and Mugi are bathed in envious gazers from all around as a beautiful couple with excellent moral conduct. But these two apparently perfect people in an apparently perfect relationship share a secret they can't tell anyone.

Yokoyari launched the manga in Square Enix's Big Gangan magazine in 2012, and ended it on March 25. Square Enix published the eighth and final volume on the same day.

The manga inspired both a television anime series and a live-action series, which ran in parallel this past winter. Both series adapted the entire story of the manga. Amazon Prime Video streamed the anime series in Japan and abroad, including in the United States as part of its Anime Strike service.
