The official website for the Monster Strike smartphone game announced on Thursday that the game is collaborating with The Seven Deadly Sins -Signs of Holy War- anime. The anime's main character Meliodas will be available in the game in a "Dragon's Sin Meliodas" version.

In addition, a Demon Meliodas with different abilities will also be available. Other in-game characters for the collaboration will include Fox's Sin Ban, Grizzly's Sin King, Serpent's Sin Diane, Goat's Sin Gowther, New Generation of Holy Knights Jericho, New Generation of Holy Knights Guila, Holy Knight Gilthunder, Fairy Helbram, Great Holy Knight Hendrickson, Demon Hendrickson, and Princess Elizabeth with Talking Pig Hawk.

The event will launch on September 11, and players will be able to receive The Seven Deadly Sins prizes and items in the game. LINE messaging and social media app stamps for the collaboration will be available for download from September 16 to October 2. The collaboration is also offering social media icons and a prize lottery for a chance to win real-world gold coins and other items.

The beginning of the official "MonSuto News" video below reveals all the details of the collaboration.

Before the collaboration's launch, an in-game event will offer bonuses for players. Players will be able to receive one Orb per day when they log in between September 9 and September 14. Combining monsters will offer a higher percentage of "huge success" results, and rewards for completing daily quests will increase this Saturday and Sunday. Players will lose half the normal amount of stamina for participating in daily quests on those days. Players will also receive double XP for completing Normal Quests.

Monster Strike's previous anime and game collaborations this year have featured Fullmetal Alchemist, Yū Yū Hakusho, and Final Fantasy.

Social networking service mixi released the game on iOS and Android devices in Japan in 2013. XFLAG released the English version in North America in 2014, but it shut down on August 1. The game also debuted in Taiwan and South Korea in 2014. The game's staff reported over 40 million players worldwide as of January. mixi released a Nintendo 3DS port of the game in Japan in 2015. The game has inspired two anime seasons and an anime film. The second "part" of the second season debuts on October 7.

The four-episode The Seven Deadly Sins -Signs of Holy War- special premiered in August 2016. The anime is getting a new television anime season that will premiere in January, and an anime film that will premiere in summer 2018.
