Shinkai's your name. Anime Film Tops 25 Billion Yen in Japan

Film is #4 all-time highest-earning film in Japan, just below Frozen's 25.5 billion yen

Makoto Shinkai's your name. (Kimi no Na wa.) anime film has grossed a cumulative 25.03 billion yen (about US$224 million) as of Sunday. It remains the #4 highest-earning film of all time on the Japanese box office chart, just below Disney's Frozen at #3 with 25.5 billion yen (about US$229 million).

Box Office Mojo estimates the film's worldwide total at US$354,526,712 as of July 4. The film has earned an estimated US$5,004,629 in the United States and Canada as of July 4.

The film opened in Japan last August, and has become the fourth highest-grossing film of all time in Japan, the second highest-grossing Japanese film, and the second highest-grossing anime film. The film is still screening in Japan.

The film opened in 92 countries and territories, and earned box-office achievements in South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Taiwan, in addition to Japan.
