Jimmy Choo Designs Code Geass Pumps

Anime News Network's merchandise coverage sponsored by Tokyo Otaku Mode.

Otaku blogger and entrepreneur Danny Choo announced on his website on Tuesday that his father is following in his footsteps to design Code Geass-themed merchandise. Malaysian fashion designer Jimmy Choo, who is based in the United Kingdom, unveiled designs for a blue and red high-heeled shoe that features the bird-like Geass symbol.

Jimmy Choo is known for designing high-end, handmade women's shoes. Danny Choo began streaming a video on Tuesday that shows his father designing the Code Geas pumps.

Danny Choo said that a sample of the shoes will debut soon. The shoes will only be available for sale at Mirai Store Tokyo and an unnamed department store.

The younger Choo announced last month that his company will release a Lelouch Lamperouge Smart Doll early this year. The 61-centimeter (24-inch) doll celebrates the franchise's 10th anniversary.

Danny Choo's Smart Doll has been in development since at least 2013 as "an interactive home appliance" that helps users "bid farewell to roneriness." The doll was originally made in the image of the original character Mirai Suenaga but has since expanded into many different looks.

Sunrise announced at the Code Geass 10th Anniversary event in November that the series is getting a sequel titled Code Geass: Fukkatsu no Lelouch (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection), but the announcement did not reveal the format of the project. A compilation film trilogy is also planned.
